The background of this movie is the Ambon conflict from 1999 to 2002 and tells how Ambon's local culture, namely music, is used by Glenn Fredly to create inter-religious peace in Ambon City. The purpose of this research is to find out how the film represents intercultural communication in realizing religious peace in Ambon City. This research uses a qualitative description method with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis approach which consists of two stages. The first stage is the denotation and connotation, then the second stage is a myth. The result of this research is that this film displays music as a bridge of intercultural communication in realizing religious peace in Ambon City. In addition, the value of love is also represented as the basis for building interfaith tolerance among the Ambon people. This film shows that intercultural communication can be established not only through verbal dialog but also through local cultural expressions, namely music that bridges the communication process.
